Parc de ses Estacions – “Station Park”
Just behind Estació Intermodal is the station park, Parc de ses Estacions. Since 2007, it has been built on top of the station for TIB’s trains and buses. The park features cozy nooks with benches, lawns, playgrounds, and footpaths. During heat waves, the fountains cool down children, while parents chat freely. Parc de ses Estacions is a great spot to enjoy the city’s daily rhythm.
Parc de la Mar – “Park of the Sea”
Below the cathedral lies Parc de la Mar. Once, the Mediterranean Sea reached the city wall, but in the 1960s, a road was built around the city. The saltwater lake below the cathedral symbolizes the ancient sea, but the park also offers sculptures, cafes, palm trees, benches, a botanical garden, playgrounds, and table tennis tables. It often hosts city events like marathons, outdoor movies, and festivals. You can also walk along the city wall for views of the park.
S’Hort del Rei – “The King’s Orchard”
The royal S’Hort del Rei is more of a garden, with a historical and cozy atmosphere. Originally part of the Almudaina Palace, it was an enclosed garden in the 14th century with fruit trees and flowers. Its current design dates back to the 1960s, inspired by traditional Andalusian gardens with pergolas, ponds, and trickling water. Highlights include a Moorish arch over a swan lake and various artworks, such as the bronze sculpture “The Balearic Slinger.”
Parc de sa Feixina – one of Palma’s lively parks
Located between the museum Es Baluard and Santa Catalina, Parc de sa Feixina features fountains, exercise machines, skaters, benches, and flowering bushes. The park is arranged on three levels, with a playground and a café where parents can relax. A continuous cycle path runs parallel to the Torrens de sa Riera canal, adding to the park’s vibrant pulse. It also hosts events like Balearic Day in Palma with stalls and music.

Parc de la Riera – A Large Multi-Park
A short walk from Plaza de España, Parc de la Riera offers utility gardens, basketball courts, football pitches, cycling and jogging paths. This spacious park provides a unique experience among Palma’s green spaces. It includes a skate park, an outdoor stage, and the city cemetery. The Torrens de sa Riera canal runs through the park, originating from the mountains and flowing towards the Mediterranean.
Bosque de Bellver – One of the Green Parks in Palma Where You Can Hike
Bosque de Bellver is a small forest with paths leading around Castell Bellver. It offers a serene escape with pine scents, chirping birds, and running trails. Located about 3 km from Palma’s center, it feels like a hike during a city break. At the top of the stairs, you’ll find views over the bay of Palma. There is also a larger playground and a small chapel. The park is continuously developing, with 1,000 new trees being planted.
Parc de Pocoyo – A Small Park by the Mediterranean
Just outside the city wall lies Parc de Pocoyo. It offers open views of the Mediterranean, perfect for letting your mind wander. In summer, the sun sets behind the mountains, and in winter, it sinks into the water, a sight enjoyed by many. Majorcans play frisbee or soccer on the lawn, while dog walkers socialize.
