The train ride from Palma to Sóller
The entire journey from the city of Palma to Sóller spans 27 km, lasts about an hour, and includes a stop in the mountain town of Bunyola. In Palma, the train departs from its dedicated platform next to Estació Intermodal at Plaza España. Return tickets can be purchased in a single order, allowing you to book both outbound and return trips at specific times.

The scenic journey
The tour passes through mountain tunnels, orange groves, and stunning Mallorcan nature. While this mode of travel harks back to a bygone era, there is a unique charm in slowing down and savoring the journey. From Sóller to Port de Sóller
For more vintage transport, take the tram from Sóller to the harbor town of Port de Sóller, about 5 km away. This trip takes around half an hour. If you’ve purchased the combined Train + Tram ticket, it includes the tram ride. No need to book a tram departure in advance.
In Port de Sóller, you can swim, dine at one of the many restaurants, or enjoy the scenic views of the Mediterranean, mountains, and harbor. The pleasant atmosphere here may be due to its somewhat remote location.
Additional transport options
If you need to travel between Palma and Sóller/Port de Sóller multiple times during your stay, consider TIB’s bus routes. These buses offer more frequent departures, and they are faster and cheaper than the train.
