Yes, overtourism is a real issue, and concerns should be taken seriously. But that doesn’t mean tourists are being rejected or mistreated.
In fact, our survey shows that most visitors feel warmth, hospitality, and a high level of service from the people of Mallorca.
Let’s remember: many locals depend on tourism and do an outstanding job welcoming guests from all over the world.
We asked 600 Tourists – here is what they said
Lately, the media has been full of headlines about anti-tourism protests, graffiti, and growing tensions on Mallorca. But does that match the actual experience of the people visiting the island?
To find out, we asked 600 tourists in Juli 2025:
“How do you feel treated as a tourist in Mallorca — by hotels, restaurants, and locals?”
The results:

🟢 84% said they felt very well treated

🟡 13% said they felt well treated

🟠 1% weren’t sure or had a slightly negative feeling

⚪ 1% didn’t know

😄 1% said they weren’t even sure why they were in Mallorca
What does this tell us?
97 % of respondents had a good or very good experience with the way they were treated by locals and the service industry. Only a tiny fraction had any uncertainty or negativity — and even then, they weren’t sure it was bad.
Conclusion – Tourists just Love Mallorca
Don’t believe everything you read in the headlines.
Ask the people who are actually here — and they’ll tell you:
Mallorca still loves its visitors.
And the visitors?
